Celebrating 62 years of production in Beauvais by dedicated workers.

Boussad Bouaouli, Vice President of Production Beauvais, emphasized the dedication of employees to the development of the MF Beauvais Campus: "Since 1960, there have always been people who have kept the factory running, always focusing mainly on the opinion of farmers to meet the challenges of the moment and, above all, with a clear vision of the future."

It all started with the MF 825 in 1960. Since then, the factory has grown continuously producing flagship tractors driven by innovation, such as the MF 3000 series in 1986, the first tractor with electronics on board, the MF 8600 series in 2008, which introduced the concept of efficient power reducing the impact on the environment thanks to the first use of SCR technology on an agricultural machine, and in 2020, the new MF 8S, with the award-winning Protect-U concept with 24cm space between cabin and engine installation, which reduces heat, noise and vibration transmitted to the cabin, and improves cooling and performance. He received the Tractor of the Year 2021 award, the Red Dot: Product Design 2021 and the Agricultural Equipment 2022. (see press releases dedicated to the Beauvais plant for full details)

"Our roots have been in Beauvais for 62 years. This plant, designated Factory of the Year 2016, is at the origin of our modern times and the new global MF Campus sets new standards and our future, ”said Boussad Bouaouli. Since 2010, the factory has led a profound transformation by implementing Lean Manufacturing, which contributes to improving quality and responding to the growing demand of our customers. In 2013 we started the program to expand the factory with the start of the assembly line of Beauvais 2 cabins and accelerated from 2019 by reintegrating activities, through vertical integration. It started with our logistics center and the launch in 2020 of other advanced activities. These include a Tractor Customization Workshop, which allows owners to customize their tractors to suit their needs, along with an additional production unit for small parts and prototypes using 3D printing. We also developed the internal production of hydraulic components (1,340 part references) as well as the reconditioning of the gearbox, the printing of tractor labels (300 references and more recently the launch of a new unit for the production of AdBlue® tanks and fuel: 4 references at the moment and we are still intensifying our efforts to achieve our ultimate goal of providing tanks for all our AGCO units in Europe. Up to 100 tractors can be produced and shipped every day to our 80% distributors exported to more than 70 countries. We produce series from MF 4700 M, MF 5700M, MF 5S, MF 6S, MF 7S, MF 8S and MF 8700 S. All power from 75 to 405 hp and all types of transmissions. ”

Now, when we hand over this 1,000,000 tractor, we are about to unify our factories into a single 54 ha MF Campus with all departments under one roof: Production, Engineering, Procurement, Customer Support, Parts, Sales and Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Legal and Human Resources ", added Thierry Lhotte. “This offers great flexibility, and the unique experience, skills and commitment of the people who work here. They are the driving force behind everything that is happening and this important event of the production of the 1,000,000th tractor is the success of our 2,500 employees, including the GIMA Transmission Association. ”

The MoF campus will continue to carry out new activities, state-of-the-art working conditions for its employees and most importantly to develop and launch new products in the coming months. "This will keep the MF Beauvais Campus competitive and ensure that it remains a farmer-centered place, anchored in the city of Beauvais and acting in a sustainable way towards local and global communities," added Thierry Lhotte.

Caroline Cayeux, Mayor of Beauvais, pointed out that this MF Campus continued to grow in parallel with the commercial and residential area around it and remains the city's main employer: “The Massey Ferguson factory in Beauvais played a significant role in the story of success of Massey Ferguson, who spends 62 years in Beauvais. Like all communities in Beauvais, I am pleased that AGCO intends to further develop the Global Headquarters of Massey Ferguson in Beauvais in an innovative and sustainable way that is an integral part of our local urban development, driving sustainable transformation and innovation to reduce the footprint. carbon and digitization. This is a strong commitment to the Beauvais area as a commercial headquarters and to securing and creating new jobs in our city in the long term. My sincere congratulations to the MF team for producing the 1,000,000th tractor in Beauvais and for the next million tractors. ”
